HOUSE RULES / AGREEMENT

🏡 HOUSE RULES

Welcome to PAWer’s Wish!

These House Rules help us provide a safe, comfortable, and well-managed experience for every PAW in our care.

Because each PAWer’s Wish service works a little differently, some requirements apply to all services while others apply specifically to Boarding, DayCare, PoochCamp, Grooming, or Pet Transport.

Please review the rules that apply to your service and let us know if you have any questions before your appointment, stay, or journey.

Information about your PAW—including health, behavior, care needs, and travel details—must be accurate and kept up to date so we can determine whether we can safely provide the requested service.

💬 Communication & Records

Your Inquiry Form provides the basic information we keep on file for your requested service.

Ongoing communication is generally handled through Facebook Messenger, LINE, or WhatsApp, allowing us to easily exchange messages, photos, and videos.

Email is used when appropriate for appointment confirmations, payment-related communication, and documents containing personal information.

If any information provided in your original inquiry changes before your appointment, stay, or journey, please let us know as soon as possible.

📅 Reservations & Appointments

PAWer’s Wish accepts reservations by appointment only.

Availability varies by service, season, and our transport schedule. An inquiry or request does not confirm a reservation. Your appointment, stay, or service is confirmed once PAWer’s Wish has reviewed the required information and sent you a confirmation.

For services involving care at PAWer’s Wish, we must be able to safely provide the environment and level of care your PAW requires.

We may be unable to accept or continue a service if:

  • Required health or vaccination information has not been provided.
  • Your PAW shows signs of a contagious illness.
  • Your PAW’s behavior or care needs cannot be safely managed within the service or environment provided.
  • Important health, behavior, medication, or care information was not disclosed before the service.
  • The requirements for the requested service have not been met.

If we determine that a service cannot be provided safely, we will discuss the situation with you and, when appropriate, help identify the next step.

🐾 Service-Specific Reservations

🚙 Pet Transport
Pet Transport begins with the Pet Transport Inquiry Form. Once we review the overall journey, we’ll let you know how PAWer’s Wish may be able to help and continue planning with you as the details develop.

Travel plans do not need to be finalized before submitting an inquiry.

🏨 Boarding
Boarding reservations are confirmed after the required information and health records have been reviewed and PAWer’s Wish has sent a confirmation.

Reservations may be requested up to one year in advance.

🐾 DayCare
DayCare is available by reservation only. Availability is released after the following week’s schedule has been finalized and may vary depending on Boarding, Pet Transport, seasonal demand, and other scheduled services.

🎓 PoochCamp / Basic House Manner Training
PoochCamp training may be available for eligible long-term Boarding guests when our transport schedule allows. Please ask us about current availability before booking.

Program length and structure are determined according to the individual PAW and training plan.

🧼 Luxury SPA Course
Luxury SPA is available by appointment only. Due to our current schedule, availability is primarily reserved for Boarding guests and existing regular clients.

❌ Cancellations / No Shows

We understand that plans can change. There is generally no cancellation penalty when you let us know before your scheduled appointment.

If you are running late or need to cancel, please contact us before your scheduled appointment time. As long as we receive notice beforehand, it will not be counted as a No Show / No Call.

No Show / No Call
Arriving more than 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time without prior notice will be considered a No Show / No Call.

  • 1st occurrence: No penalty.
  • 2nd occurrence: No penalty, but you will receive notice that another No Show / No Call will result in a six-month reservation suspension.
  • 3rd occurrence: New reservations will not be accepted for six months from the date of the third occurrence.

🎌 Holiday Period Reservations
Holiday periods have very limited availability and may have a waiting list. Because an unused reservation may prevent another PAW from being accommodated, repeated No Shows / No Calls during these periods are handled separately.

  • 1st occurrence: No penalty.
  • 2nd occurrence: No penalty. However, any future Holiday Period reservation will require an advance deposit equal to three days of the applicable boarding fee.
  • If a future Holiday Period reservation requiring this deposit results in another No Show / No Call, the deposit will not be refunded.

Prior notice matters. If you contact us before your scheduled appointment—even at the last minute—it will not be counted as a No Show / No Call.

🕐 Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in and check-out are by appointment only.

Standard time: 12:00 PM

When arranged in advance, appointment times may be adjusted between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on availability and our schedule.

Please let us know no later than the day before if you need to request a different appointment time.

🐾 Introduction

For Boarding and DayCare, every PAW has a 15–30 minute Introduction before joining the group—even returning guests.

The dogs staying with us and the group dynamics may be different each time, so this allows us to observe your PAW, introduce them safely, and help them settle into the environment at their own pace.

The Introduction is conducted by PAWer’s Wish without the owner present.

⏰ Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Arrivals more than 30 minutes late will result in cancellation of the appointment.

🩺 Pet Health & Safety

For Boarding and DayCare, all PAWs must be in good general health and able to safely participate in our care environment.

• Pets with a contagious illness cannot be accepted.

• PAWs who are unable to walk unassisted or who require significant medical support may be considered only after their care needs have been discussed and evaluated in advance.

• For PAWs with serious or late-stage medical conditions, we may ask you to consult with your veterinarian before we determine whether Boarding or DayCare is appropriate.

• All dogs must be spayed or neutered. No exceptions.

📦 Medications must be provided in their original container with clear dosage and administration instructions.

🩺 Vaccination Requirements

For Boarding, DayCare, PoochCamp, and other applicable care services, PAWs must meet our health and preventive care requirements before joining our care environment.

PAWer’s Wish provides a shared social environment rather than individual isolation. Because our PAWs live, play, and spend time together, these requirements are essential to help protect the health of the entire group.

    🐶For dogs:

    • Rabies vaccination must be current as required by Japanese law.
    • DHPP / core vaccinations must be current.
    • Bordetella vaccination must be current.
    • A current fecal exam is required.
    • Flea and tick prevention is required year-round.
    • Heartworm prevention is required during the applicable prevention season.

Vaccination schedules may vary depending on the vaccine used and your PAW’s individual health needs. Please work with your veterinarian to keep all required vaccinations and preventive care current.

    🐱 For cats:

    • Rabies vaccination must be current.
    • FVRCP vaccination must be current.
    • Feline Leukemia vaccination must be current.
    • A current fecal exam is required.
    • Flea and tick prevention is required year-round.
    • Heartworm prevention is required during the applicable prevention season.
    • Cats must be spayed or neutered. No exceptions.

    🍽 Food & Feeding

Please provide enough of your PAW’s regular food for the entire stay, preferably portioned and labeled for each meal.

We generally follow your PAW’s normal feeding schedule whenever possible. Please let us know in advance about feeding instructions, dietary restrictions, allergies, or other food-related needs.

Bringing a small amount of extra food is recommended in case your return is unexpectedly delayed.

If your PAW’s food begins to run low, we will contact you while several meals still remain. If additional food cannot be provided in time, we may gradually introduce our Kennel Supply by mixing it with the remaining food rather than making a sudden change.

Kennel Supply is available for ¥500 per day when needed.

    🛏 Bedding & Belongings

Clean bedding is provided during your PAW’s stay.

You are welcome to bring familiar bedding, a blanket, or an item carrying your scent if it helps your PAW feel more comfortable.

Appropriate toys may also be brought with your PAW. Please let us know if any item requires special handling or should only be used under supervision.

Personal belongings will be labeled when needed.

    🐾 Additional Care & Long-Term Stays

Our standard Boarding rates cover the normal daily care included with your PAW’s stay.

Some PAWs require additional time, maintenance, or individual care beyond our standard routine. Because these needs can vary greatly even between PAWs of a similar size, Additional Care is evaluated separately from the standard Boarding rate.

Additional Care may include ongoing coat maintenance, additional individual management, separate activity arrangements, special care routines, or other support requiring additional time and attention.

Any applicable Additional Care and additional fees will be discussed with you based on your PAW’s individual needs.

    Long-Term Stays

A stay of one month or longer is considered a Long-Term Stay.

Long-Term Stays require a separate Long-Term Consent Form so that your PAW’s individual care needs, ongoing maintenance, and applicable fees are clearly agreed upon.

A Long-Term Stay agreement may cover a maximum period of six months. At the end of each six-month period, the care plan and applicable rates will be reviewed before any extension is confirmed.

    💊 Medication & Veterinary Support

PAWer’s Wish staff do not administer medications prescribed by a veterinarian.

If your PAW has a chronic medical condition or requires veterinarian-prescribed medication on a regular schedule, please tell us before the reservation is confirmed.

We will review your PAW’s care needs and, when appropriate, consult with a qualified veterinarian to determine whether the necessary veterinary support can be arranged during the stay.

Acceptance will be confirmed only after the required care arrangements are in place.

Depending on your PAW’s medical needs and the availability of qualified veterinary support, we may be unable to accept the reservation.

    💥 Property Damage

We understand that accidents can happen. However, owners may be responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing property damaged by their PAW beyond normal wear and tear.

If you know that your PAW has a history of chewing, scratching, digging, destructive behavior, or other habits that may cause damage, please let us know before the stay so we can prepare the safest and most appropriate setup possible.

If significant damage occurs during the stay, we will contact you and discuss the situation with you.

    💳 Payment

Payment arrangements may vary depending on the service and how your PAW is being dropped off, picked up, or transported.

    Invoice Payments

Invoices are used for services such as Pet Transport and Long-Term Stays, when someone other than the owner is handling drop-off or pick-up, or whenever the owner prefers to pay by invoice.

Invoices are generally issued on Fridays. For services completed in a single visit, such as Grooming, an invoice may be issued and paid on the same day when requested.

The payment due date will be shown on the invoice.

    In-Person Payments

When the owner is present at PAWer’s Wish, payment may be made at check-out using our credit / debit card reader. This includes services such as Boarding and Grooming.

    Payment Methods

    • Credit / Debit Cards — online or in person
    • Cash — JPY or USD
    • PayPal

For Long-Term Stays or other services requiring individual arrangements, the payment schedule and any applicable additional fees will be confirmed separately as part of the agreement.
